Biography

Innocent Kamwa is a distinguished professor of electrical engineering, inducted into the U.S. National Academy of Sciences for his innovations in automatic control of power systems and his seminal contributions to international standards for testing electrical machines. D. in electrical engineering, he is also Distinguished Visiting Professor at Tsinghua University, Beijing. His theoretical and experimental research focuses on mechanisms, architectures and technologies for accommodating millions of distributed energy resources in decarbonized and digitized power grids. He is also interested in resilient and autonomous microgrids for transport electrification and energy justice in a context of extreme weather adaptation.
